"Al Watania Poultry" establishes the largest cooling station in the East
Al Watania Poultry Company announced, in a statement, the establishment of the largest cooling station in the Middle East with a capacity of 17,700 kilowatts of thermal energy.
The company ranks 24th in the world in the poultry industry, and contributes 30% of poultry production to enhance national food security in Saudi Arabia.
The new cooling station will be responsible for cooling many vital thermal loads, including an automated slaughterhouse with a capacity of 36,000 birds per hour, in addition to cooling all cold storage warehouses and 3 freezers for boxes serving the same slaughterhouse.
For his part, the company's acting CEO, Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Shaya, said that "Al Watania Poultry" is committed to enhancing food security in Saudi Arabia, and is committed to following the highest specifications and standards in environmental control, and ensuring safe and clean outputs, by implementing projects specialized in preserving the environment, achieving the principles of sustainable development, and preserving natural resources.
"Al-Watania Poultry" is implementing a project to treat harmful gases emitted from water treatment plants, to reduce the emission of harmful gases and environmental pollutants, as the company contracted with the Dutch company Ozuro, to implement the bio-filtration technology for harmful gases before releasing them into the air, with a capacity of 15 thousand cubic meters per hour.
The company is also working on developing energy and electricity projects through several strategic initiatives, including discussions with Tadweem Energy Company and several other companies to study the possibilities of generating energy from renewable sources and reducing emissions from diesel engines.
Al-Watania Poultry is cooperating with the Ministry of Energy and the Saudi Electricity Company to connect to the unified grid with the aim of replacing liquid fuel with clean energy sources.
