Poultry Syndicate: The sector is suffering huge losses due to the drop in prices, and the farms stopping work in the South and Bekaa
The Lebanese Poultry Syndicate, headed by William Boutros, announced in a statement, "The poultry sector has suffered huge losses, mainly due to the drop in chicken prices, which have become less than the cost of production, as well as due to the farms stopping work in the South and Bekaa, and a large number of them have been damaged." It indicated that "the aggression on the South and Bekaa led to the farms and production units stopping work, and this situation has caused farmers huge losses that they cannot afford to bear."

Engineer Mahmoud Al-Anani won the position of President of the General Union of Poultry Producers in the union's elections held on Tuesday. Dr. Tharwat El-Zini and Dr. Anwar Al-Abd were elected as Vice Presidents.
The new council affirmed its commitment to supporting the poultry industry in line with the policies adopted by the Egyptian government, while also working to develop the sector to meet the government's goals and achieve mutual interests between the state, small farmers, and investors.
