World's Poultry Science Association (AECA)
Spanish Association of Poultry Science (AECA)
The AECA's primary objective is to promote research and facilitate scientific and technical exchange among specialists, scholars, and professionals in poultry farming. Today, AECA is recognized as one of the most active and internationally renowned sections of the WPSA. It currently boasts over 260 active members, all of whom are technicians, professionals, and researchers within Spain's poultry sector.
Another key aim of AECA is to enhance Spanish society's understanding and appreciation of poultry production and its products. Members of the Spanish Association of Poultry Science believe in actively defending good production practices, which directly impact the quality of poultry products and food safety. They employ various means to achieve this, primarily focusing on training and dissemination targeted at those responsible for poultry farms or industries.
As technicians, professionals, scientists, and experts in diverse areas related to poultry farming—including animal production, health, nutrition, and food technology—the members of the Spanish Association of Poultry Science are available to assist consumers, the public, the media, companies, and interested institutions, offering their expertise on relevant matters.
Since 2014, AECA has been a part of the Union of Spanish Animal Science Entities (UEECA), an organization created to unite and coordinate associations and federations in Spain that are dedicated to R&D in Animal Science.

WORLD’S POULTRY SCIENCE ASSOCIATION.
OBJECTIVES
1. To promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry.
2. To promote education in the field of poultry science for students and extension services, and to facilitate exchanges between research, education and industry.
3. To encourage the staging of local, national and regional meetings, seminars, symposia and conferences and to facilitate the staging of World’s Poultry Congresses.
4. To co-operate with other national and international organizations in achieving these aims.
